Here we have a "broadsheet", or one page flyer, for the New Years Eve, 1926, performance of "The Gorilla" at the Orpheum Theatre. The Orpheum Theatre was a Nathan Appell Enterprise. Appell was an important figure in early entertainment and had a string of theatres in Pennsylvania. We believe this to be from York, PA., although we're not positive. This theatre broadsheet is complete, although it's longer than our scanner is able to show. It remains in very good overall condition (exceptional for it's age). There is some handwriting at the lower right corner, and a small piece of the corner missing at bottom left. This measures an approximate 5 1/2" x 12 1/2".
"The Gorilla" was produced by the Chicago Stock Company and was presented by Charles H. Rosskam as a mystery comedy.
