Here we have a rare Spanish advertising card picturing the German silent movie actress, Eva May. A great image, this remains in good overall condition. This vintage photo card measures an approximate 3" x 4-1/2".

Eva May was a successful movie actress in Germany during the silent film era. She was born on May 29, 1902 in Austria, the daughter of the director, Joe May, and actress Mia May.

A very popular actress in Germany, Eva May was also a very troubled young woman. She commited suicide, by gunshot, on September 10, 1924. Eva May was only 22 years old. She had appeared as an actress in just under 30 films, of which the following are just a small sampling.
