From our entertainment memorabilia holdings, here we have a vintage postcard of band leader, Guy Lombardo. A great image, this card remains in very good overall condition and measures an approximate 3-1/2" x 5-1/2". This is a vintage Mutoscope card.
The bandleader, Guy Lombardo, was born on June 19, 1902 in Canada. In 1924 he formed "The Royal Canadians" with his brothers, and recorded for Gennett Studios the same year. His band would become regular features on early radio, as well as having a 30 year run at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City. Their version of "Auld Lang Syne" is still played as the first song of new year, every New Years Day in Times Square.
